A new music project is on his way to became reality, thanks to my friend Enrico Iubatti of TEMA Music, to Nanouk Films and to the engagement of two incredible characters. TRANCE is born thanks to the human encounter with the Cuban pianists Chucho Valdés and Gonzalo Rubalcaba and after the charm of their amazing art.


Two of the most gifted jazz pianists of all time. Blending tradition with innovation, power with elegance, haunting lyricism with sort of beauty, this two icons represent the best of jazz.

Chucho Valdés and Gonzalo Rubalcaba, two giants of Cuban music, play together for the first time in duo. They have lived outside of cuba for years now, and their international tour is a success. The next concert they’re going to do in La Havana becomes an opportunity for both of you to review their lives, their history, and above all, their music.

THE PROJECT OF THIS MUSIC DOCUMENTARY WILL BE PRESENTED AT DOCBARCELONA 2018, ON MAY 24th AND 25th. TRANCE is a musical road movie, a trip around the world sitting at the piano.
